i met this guy a few months back. He's nice and interesting. Just that he seems to be somebody i don't TRUST. He seems to be somebody who is searching for a girl who is pretty or something like that.
He said he likes me, and will call me ';baby, darling..'; sometimes in texts. He treats me kinda good at times, but sometimes he'd tell me how girls praise him, how many girls he's chatting with... making me jealous in purpose.
We've only been chatting on msn and text messages, not on the phone nor have we met before. He keeps asking me to meet him (which i have 2nd thoughts..). I don't want because i am afraid if he met me, he'd see that i am some normal plain jane and lose interests in me.
Now he told me he is with a girl chatting at a park. and this girl is pretty and rides on his bike. (First time a girl rides on his bike). He keeps asking if i am jealous. I am kinda pissed with him, and i know he's not the type i am searching for.Need help from guy's perspective.. girls can suggest too!?
well he sounds like a simple joe to me, i mean if he really has all these wonderfull girls riding on his bike, wanting to chat with him etc.etc., than why would he keep on asking you to meet him??
seems to me he just wants to impress you in a rather childish way, and if you indeed know he's not the type your searching for don't waste your time on him.
there is enough fish in the water, so look for one you do like!Need help from guy's perspective.. girls can suggest too!?
I think he wants to know if u like him. If u say that ur jealous he'll stop those things since he knows that u like him too. And I think most males do that to check if their girl will stay with them for a long time
Why the hell are you still bothering with this guy? Just about everything you've said is futher evidence in favor of completly blocking this guy out of you life. Soooo.... get rid of him.
OMG! i have the exact same problem, i mean i talk to this guy on facebook an i really like him i called him before, he seems really cool, he has seen my pics and i think he thinks im pretty im afraid to ever see him cu im afraid he may not like me anymore, cuz now my skin is more tan and my hair is darker, and i may not be the irl who he thought he had thouhg was pretty but i guess we just have to hop GOOD LUCK TO U U R VERY PRETTY!^-^
Well, maybe you should tell him how you feel and if he gets pissed:sucks for him!!! You look like you could be a wonderful person and you are very pretty......You don't need a jerk like that in your life!
P.S. I know this is really off topic, but are you Japanese? You look Japanese. I'm Japanese.....God, I am so random sometimes!!!!

Do you think this is a double standard?
Ok so i went out with this guy for 2 years (i finally got the courage to break it off). Before him i was in a physically abusive relationship so i was scared to be alone and allowed him to blackmail me in2 a relationship with him and put up with him cheating, trying to see the girls as 'friends' for 6 months, always talking about how beautiful she and his ex loves were, always pointing out 'beautiful', saying i was too big, bum too big (usually an asset to me from what other guys said. i was only 120lbs and 5'3)...put me down in front of friends, cancel a nite with me to go out with his boys...which i allowed...but then ended up at random girls parties, or other girls would go out with them. wanting to go on a date with his friend, and that guys 'love interest' and also one of her friends (i wasnt allowed to go as 5 an odd number). would smoke pot (quit now) and not reply to me for days on end (after we together for 1 year), gave me 'time limits of when i could be at his house when his friend came to live. ie, cut down from every night to 3 nites/week)...would say 'i one day may meet a girl who loves music just like me and mite like her and have to decide to leave you'...talk about going away for months with no thought of me...say i was too quiet, then when i tried to become less shy and quiet he would treat me like i was an idiot in front of his friends.
ok so thats the history...for about 6 months he has been 'better' ie doesnt smoke pot etc. doesnt seem AS controlling, but still he gets mad saying i need to 'get over the stuff from the past because he would'...if we fight he will go out clubbing and not give me a 2nd thought...he is 27 btw...he regularly goes out clubbing 2-3 times a week now...which i figured i have to try get over. FACT IS he wont give me security. i jst want to know (consideribg the past) that he is just out with his mates and not chatting up random girls...he only says 'dont worry about it.' and thats it. wont deny chatting girls up and wont confirm. (i have heard 'dont wory about it before then he cheated). all i want is security by him being direct saying he isnt chatting them up/ dancing with them but he expects i should just have this 'trust' which i find hard. i didnt care when he went out occassionally but now its more and more...
double standard is- he doesnt like it when i say i am going clubbing or he thinks i am out clubbing (which i dont do much and i have never cheated). He even HATES it when i go to a friends house and her bf/bfs friends are there! thats not even a sleazy place! do you think its a double standard that i should get over him going clubbing because 'its his outlet' yet he doesnt like the thought of me doing it?!Do you think this is a double standard?
Well of course it is a double standard. The question is what are you going to do about it. If you think you can make him less controlling over time you are very wrong. He will get worse and expect you to fall into line with his wishes while he does what he wants regardless of you. Draw the line, tell him what you want from a relationship and if he can't do it, move on! Don't try to ';get over'; it. It will only get worse. Don't waste your time, you only live once. You deserve better than him!
He says those things to control you. If he is exasperated and maintains that he has done all the right things like listening and understand then he causes you to doubt yourself. As long as you doubt your position he can keep controlling you. It sounds to me like you are headed for an abusive relationship if you stick with this one. These guys DO NOT change!!!! This is how he is and the more you give in to his unreasonable way of structuring things the more he will want. Your gut feeling is that something is terribly wrong. You are absolutely right. WARNING! He will not go easily. Breaking up with him will be a trial in itself. He will try to keep control by either being more abusive or promising you the earth, he will tell you that he will change and that he sees now how wrong he was and won't ever do it again. Don't be fooled, he just wants to keep you under his control. You can give him another chance is you like but be absolutely firm that if he behaves in a controlling way again it is over for good! Get the support of some friends to help you through this, even your parents. You will need lots of moral and maybe even physicial support but get out while you can!Do you think this is a double standard?
I don't understand why you are still in a relationship with this guy.
Dump him, seriously.
Theres no point.
What exactly has this got to do with 'languages'?...try posting it in 'relationships'.
When you truly love someone the last thing you want to do is hurt them so much. You have experienced a turmoil that should not be experienced in a loving relationship, based on just spending time together. One human being does not have the right to control another or stop them from feeling real happiness inside. Your boyfriend sounds like he is controlling in nature as well as mind numbing.
Become strong as a single person and then you will find a partner with a stronger love for you.
Seriously dump him. He's keeping you from having Mr. Right and more importantly from finding yourself. Think of all the drama from him out of your life. Sure you won't have a boyfriend for a little while but in order to get a real man you need to be confident and comfortable with standing on your own. So he throws double standards your way. So dodge them and move on. He sounds like an utter waste of space and that is just by trying to drag you down.

I have a hard time meeting women, how do I talk to a woman I don't know?
I'm going to say my age at the bottom when you're done reading, or alot of you won't give me the chance to read what I just typed up.
I've always had a problem with girls. I can talk to them fine if they are in a class of mine, or if they are a random peer. I CANNOT in any way, shape or form approach a girl I do not know or have never seen before, if its a girl I see on the bus, skytrain etc. I've been told by many people I'm extremely good looking, that I should attempt getting into the movies, or model. Apparently girls my age are ';intimidated'; by me and I completely hate it.
There are the ';party'; type girls who have had many boyfriends, are high maintenance and tend to have slept around with alot of guys; these girls always take interest in me and want to talk to me and put out on me, but I am NOT attracted to these types of girls WHAT-SO-EVER. I think they are extremely shallow and am not attracted to them in any way.
Then there are the girls who don't put out, the ones who seem innocent and aren't really popular or known, but are very mature and have high morals. I always seem to be attracted to these girls. It seems IMPOSSIBLE for me to get with one as in a relationship. I've come across many cute looking girls on the skytrain or bus, in the past I tried to initiate conversation, but it seems like I end up scaring them or creeping them out (thats what it seems like to me) and it just doesn't work.
Now up until recently, I completely gave up and lost all motivation to even talk to girls. There has been times lately where a real cute looking girl who looks just like my type comes along and sits right beside me on the bench waiting for the bus, smiling at me- Now a days I don't even bother saying anything and sometimes I cant help myself but to give them a ';dirty'; look, and when we go our different ways I regret it and ask myself why the hell did I do that. In these situations, the girls tend to be a few years older than I am, because NOBODY thinks I'm my real age.
So I'm 16. I average an age of between 22-24. A problem I'd admit, is I grew up much too fast, I live on my own already. all due to my upbringing. I'm 5'9 190 lbs with almost NO FAT, I'm a health nut. I go to the gym 7 days a week and have been doing so since I was 14.Almost everyone at my gym thinks I take steroids, but I would never. I don't drink, I don't do any drugs. I live a very healthy and active lifestyle. I just can't relate to most girls who are my age, who are usually shallow and immature.
What advice can you give me, reading all of this? I'm at wits end and I just completely gave up. I refuse to sleep around at parties with drunk girls. By looking at me, you would think I'm a player. and I tend to always get stereotyped this just by my looks.
(I know life isn't about chatting girls up etc, but I've recently started getting a bit lonely and would enjoy sharing my life with someone who deserved it)
Any advice, please. I really don't know what more I can doI have a hard time meeting women, how do I talk to a woman I don't know?
Crazy, We kind of have a lot in common here. I'm actually in the same boat as you. For some reason guys that think their top of the line always end up talking to me. You know, the jocky, over conceited ones. And somehow their all exactly the same.
It seems impossible to meet someone with morals. I want to find someone that knows what they want, and thinks differently and indepth about things. So we can have long indepth conversations while we sit at a really unknown lake at 2 in the morning. Sounds kind of cute huh?
All my friends don't understand why i haven't dated much at all, but i know what guy i'm looking for. I guess i'm just staying with myself, and building myself until i find him.
By the way, I'm 16 too. I go to the gym a lot too. I get mistaken to be 19 or 20, so maybe i look a little younger then you. %26amp; I'd love to meet that person now too. I kind of feel like times being wasted away without them here.
See, we're a lot a like it's weird. When you find a way to fix it, let me know.I have a hard time meeting women, how do I talk to a woman I don't know?
My advice...be natural. Stop analyzing the whole thing and looking at every girl as either 'my type' or 'not my type'. Just let life happen and soon, it will.
Talking to girls would probably be a lot easier if you weren't in 'analytical mode' while doing it. Just be yourself, enjoy friendships with whomever you feel connected to and let the rest happen on it's own.
Good luck=)
I apologise in advance for what I'm about to say.
I absolutely, totally do NOT believe you are 16, I'm sorry.
You don't write or sound anything like a 16 year old. I think your a much older guy. Even mature teenagers wouldn't write like that, you sound like someone alot older than 20s as you say you look like apparently.
However, if you really are 16 and I'd be amazed if you are, my advice is chill out, a 16 year old has his whole life ahead, girls will come and go, relationships will begin and end, that's all part of life.
The key is to not take it seriously, to live each day as it comes, to be yourself and to let the rest take care of itself.
If you are 16 though I apologise, but I'm so sure your not I would bet anything on it!!
1) Get rid of your complex.
2) Don't ask questions like this be yourself or you will have a problem before you even stared.
3) Be polite and show interest without being to nosey.
4) Try to find common ground, interests.
5) The rest will come by its self.
Hi, it's probably not what you want to hear, but relax. You don't have to rush things.
Just focus on being sociable, meeting people and making friends (at clubs, societies, parties, the gym, events and so on) and seeing how things go from there.
If you are looking for more mature, intelligent women consider giving university a try or volunteer for a cause you support to meet like-minded people. :)

How do i have more confidence when chatting with girls ?
ok, im 17, persian /chinese race, %26amp; fairly tall (5ft11-6ft). im ok looking %26amp; look young (baby face) but whenever i want to chat to new girls in social places such as parties, i get rather nervous of going up to them %26amp; chatting with them. i don't know why, i think it's because i don't know wot 2 say, %26amp; because 4 months before, i asked this girl out 2 lunch %26amp; she rejected %26amp; told evryone. Also some friends keep teasing me %26amp; keep sayin im ugly which rly hurts my feelings... i rly want to have confidence but i keep assuming girls will reject me instantly. So is there anyone who can answer me %26amp; give me much needed / detailed advice ?How do i have more confidence when chatting with girls ?
Be patient. I was like you at your age, but at 25 I've developed a lot, physically and in terms of confidence, and I get all the puussy I could ever want. How do i have more confidence when chatting with girls ?
you just need to learn to talk to them like you would your friends! start the conversation with how are you then ask them what they have been up to recently! normally that leads on to a conversation but if it doesnt ask them what their intrests are or if you already no ask them how its going ask about their friends and family! and once you get used to talking to them it will become easyer to talk to them in general! the main rule is dont worry!

oh dear lord! first of all give him space first. he is a guy and u have to face the fact that he will want to look at other woman. but if u feel like he is doing something like hooking up or sex chatting talk to him. tell him how u loe him. also one reson why he might be doing this is because your love life is loosing a spark. spice your saturdays up. go out with as a family and then always stay connected and do your stuff. alwasy find trust witin each other. if u feel that he is going the wrong way then talk, the last thing im sure u dont want is a divorce because u have children so first give him room to breathe but if u feel he is changing, coming home late sneak o to the computer a check wat he is up to if it gets that far. much love and wish u the best. How can i get him back?
Kick his *** to the curb!
DIVORCE HIS @SS! you don't need him you can do bad by yourself!
Might need a new mate.
Why are you so crazy about someone who apparently isn't crazy about you? Get rid of this jerk, and allow yourself to get out there and maybe meet someone who'll treat you right and be true to you.
He's not a very kewl person...don't lower yourself to sticking with someone who cares so little about his wife, the mother of his kids...know that you deserve better, and go forth and find it!

Honey why the h**l do you want him ?
I dont know about you, i dont know about you, and I know nothing about you... Confused ???
Right!! Thats exactly what I felt when I read your Q.
If I get you right, you dont like him chatting with sexy women online and he loves it ???
Honestly, I would not blame him, you are so confused because of the issue that you have thrown all reasonable thoughts to the winds.
Well, if it is any consolation, the 'sexy chatting girls' could be some 40 year old fat sweating naked guy on a free AOL connection.
And try and inject some sence and realisation in to him that when you are around, he would not need to sweat it out online.
Lure him back.
Sexy lingerie would work.
If he doesn't respect that this hurts your feelings and he doesn't care enough about the relationship to stop, I wonder how much more of this you will be able to stand.
I am assuming your sex life is hindered because of all this? If you're having problems in the bedroom you guys probably need to get professional counseling.
If you are willing to put up with his ';chatting'; then tell him so.
If he will not take your calls then stop by his house wearing something really sexy. get a tan, a new outfit and have your hair done. leave the kids with a babysitter. he'll be willing to talk.
how about dumping him!!?
divorcing him sounds like the best thing to do for you and your children. if you dont, only more pain will come when he hooks up with one of these girls that he is chatting to

If you are willing to put up with his ';chatting'; then tell him so.
If he will not take your calls then stop by his house wearing something really sexy. get a tan, a new outfit and have your hair done. leave the kids with a babysitter. he'll be willing to talk.
how about dumping him!!?
divorcing him sounds like the best thing to do for you and your children. if you dont, only more pain will come when he hooks up with one of these girls that he is chatting to
Girls are chat machines?
Well, I have no idea how a girls brain is wired, but WTF they can talk for hours easy about nothing. I'm a guy, I talking about details and that usually doesn't lead to a long conversation. The average phone call with one of my buddies is like 30 minutes max on a good day. When I called this girl I liked, I couldn't even think of anything to say. I was talking about my first 2 semesters of college and my new job, but then she goes off on a tangent of her friend being a ***** for 2 hours. Seriously..... ArgghhhhGirls are chat machines?
HAHAHA yea I get annoyed with that too when I call one of my friends and they go on for hours. Not every girl is like that.Girls are chat machines?
hahaha thats so me =)
she prolly just likes talking to you
We love to see what others think and tell them what we think
whats really the question?!
lolz! yup, we talk a lot. me and my friends can talk for hours about the most random stuff. she just likes to talk to you. it is a good thing, just be patient.

I'm Getting Desperate and Paranoid...Please Help!?
I love my boyfriend so much and I want to keep him. Recently, I found him chatting girls over the internet and making friends like exchanging emails. He told me that it's nothing and those were his friends only. But it really hurts me and make me sick and worry all the time. What shall I do with this? And I notice also that he is always complaining on my looks these days. Please give me some advice also on how to make myself attractive to him and he will stop flirting with other girls. :(I'm Getting Desperate and Paranoid...Please Help!?
Lots of people do that stuff online, for all he knew, he probably didn't even know the real gender of the people he was talking to until he made friends with them.
After he found out, it didn't matter because they were already friends.I'm Getting Desperate and Paranoid...Please Help!?
It's normal for people to swap emails and chat with eachother
Dump him. I love my girlfriend and she always looks good to me.
Make him dinner,You know, candle lights, wine, soft music. Dress up!! and seduce the hell out of him!!!
trust him if you keep nagging him it will push him away as for your looks try something new or try harder he isnt a great bf to make you feel you dont look good
first of all you shouldn't really be worried about anything. the both of you are in a relationship and im sure he respects that. everyone has friends, you probably even do what he does. just try not to forget that hes your boyfriend and show him that you love him. you don't sound too good, you shouldn't be stressin over this kinda stuff. if you really dont care then just do what you have to do .....
First off... you should never have to try and better yourself or the way you look so your boyfriend will stop flirting with other girls. If this is something that bothers you and you have told him this, if he truely cares about you, he will stop doing it. Dont ever try and change who you are to make someone love you. and about him complaining about your looks!?!? That is crap! He should love you for who you are and not what you look like. If he continues to hurt you by flirting with other girls.. drop him! hes not worth it!
tell him to take you shopping so u he won't be able to complain on how you look cuz he bought the clothes for you!!!!! lol =) sorry if this wasn't helpful
dont change yourself for him, if he complains about your personality or looks he obviously doesnt like you for you.
he could be just friends with these girls
but it is also very easy to fall for someone through sweet words, emoticons and the humour that the internet allows.
he could be leading them on easily.
he isnt worth it if he complains about your looks,
and if you feel he would go to another girl because your not pretty enough, then you should go to another guy who will appreciate and care about you. this relationship wouldnt be heading anywhere but disaster if that is the way it is, sorry.
All good relationships have these sorts of problems. Sit down with him and open up to him, tell him exactly how you feel, and tell him that it bothers you. If you really love him, you have to be able to trust him, so don't expect him to stop. Just make sure that he's open with you about it.
just like rotten milk a sour relationship can not be fixed when one has already moved on with their actions, he is trying to break up with you in a less hurtful way, but since you are not getting the hint now he is attacking your looks trying to make you leave him and since you are still clinging on the next thing he will do isl let you catch him with pix and personal private messages, and by then hopefully you get the hint it is over, nothing we say or tell you to do will make you attractive to him again, let him go, please dont' put yourself thru this pain, keep your pride and self respect and you can't keep him you already lost him good luck
how long have you been with your bf? - the very same thing happened to me a few years ago %26amp; we have recently split up we were together 6 years, by the way you described the relationship he sounds like he's having his cake %26amp; eating it, i.e he has the relationship with you but then he's flirting with other people, he's also making you feel bad which is obviously lowering your confidence. please take my advise no matter how hard you try to stop him he'll find a way back, he'll find a way of making you feel guilty that your questioning him, i was paranoid for the biggest part of my relationship because i just didnt trust him, your stronger than this %26amp; you can face the world without him, you deserve someone who loves you.
