Well, it shouldn't be hard because usually people have a problem when talking to people face to face. Since you can't see that person, it should be a lot easier. So just make up random topics like what they like to do and ask them about themselves. The shorter the question isn't necessarily the sweeter. Just make good topics and then you will have her writing the long messages when she responds, that way you don't seem too anxious.
